After contacting several planners, the clients chose architect Gerhard Ostermann from SISSIBAY architects in Innsbruck, who had already been involved in the selection of the plot and was therefore able to work on an individual design in line with the family's wishes at an early stage.
The open kitchen with back office area was to be the centerpiece and central meeting point, as high-quality cooking and welcoming guests are important themes in the residents' everyday lives. If you open the large sliding glass elements towards the garden, this cooking and dining area flows directly into the terrace by the stainless steel pool with integrated cover. This sheltered outdoor area flows directly into the house and thus acts as an extension of the living space. An oven that can be seen from three sides, combined with a shelving unit, forms a discreet separation from the cozy retreat zone with couch and TV. Separated from each other but still together, everyone can pursue their plans in peace here. A glazed light slit accompanies the elegant wooden staircase over three levels and acts as a vertical connection. The lowest level was designed as a high-quality floor with an impressive wine cellar and technical and storage rooms. If you follow the steps to the upper floor, your gaze falls outside onto a beautiful old maple tree, which has been staged like a picture with lighting and thus acts as a decorative element in the house. Once upstairs, you feel like you're in a hotel suite. The parents' sleeping area flows seamlessly into a wellness bathroom with sauna and terrace. The two children's bedrooms have their own beautiful bathroom. All rooms are bright, friendly and spacious, in short a perfect retreat for all family members.
The project was completed within a short construction period of just six months, thanks in no small part to the great commitment of the clients. They took on the construction management and interior design themselves in consultation with the architect and thus always had everything in view. The technically sophisticated low-energy house has a comfort ventilation system with an air-to-water heat pump. The lighting concept was precisely matched to all areas and underlines the pleasantly elegant living atmosphere.
