Inspired by the historic pearl diving industry in the Arabian Gulf and the aesthetics of cut crystals, an exclusive beach club was created as an architectural jewel by the sea. The client's desire for a crystalline world of experience was the starting point for a concept that combines luxury, sensuality and depth.
A geodesic domed building rises out of the sand like a polished pearl. The polygonal façade reflects the light like a crystal. Golden accents and a floating catwalk above the water create spaces for staging, meeting and retreat at the same time - above ground and in designed underwater worlds.
Inside, the lounge, pool, daybeds and fine dining merge into an immersive world of experience. The transitions between inside and outside, day and night, glass and water are fluid. The view of the open sea through the transparent supporting structure reinforces the feeling of lightness.
