"Wood brings forth fire, fire gives birth to ashes, ashes become earth. Earth brings metal, where there is metal there is water, water makes wood grow. Water enlivens, inspires and fertilizes.
Chinese proverb
Water - living by the water - water as inspiration
"House O in Bardolino is a holistic concept. From the shell to the dining table, everything comes from a single source ..." is how Cornelia Kollmann from SISSIBAYarchitects describes the project.
Situated on a slope, the building structure follows the topography of the terrain in stepped half-storeys. The staggered levels create different room heights, which, supported by selected surfaces, characterize the cosiness and casualness of the house.
In addition to a few design classics, the furnishings were primarily designed by Sissibay. The result is a house of tangible homogeneity and clarity.
Despite the compact footprint, three bedrooms each with their own bathroom, a wine cellar, a small wellness area with outdoor shower and a spacious kitchen, lounge and dining area have been realized. A vespa garage and two parking spaces are also included.
Several terraces create different outdoor areas. A rooftop pool with bar area and lounge crown the small building.
